COMPLEX SENTENCES USED IN ENGLISH-MAJORED STUDENTS’ ESSAY WRITING: PEDAGOGICAL IMPLICATIONS

The research investigates the use of complex sentences in students’ essay writing, exploring pedagogical implications for teachers to enhance writing proficiency. 212 essays were collected from English-majored students last semester learning at Can Tho University, but only 162 qualified analysis, equivalent number corpus by Truong & Do (2021). Their sentence structures analyzed and compared with identify similarities differences structures. findings this suggest that there are clear patterns types frequency used students, which may have design curriculum as well teaching essays.
